How to engage Model X auto-park?

I have searched this site for the answer but have only come across the double park tap for the model 3.
New car, firmware 2020.44.25.

The manual says it much better than I could. I'm not sure if this is the same for all model years or firmware versions but it should get you started.

Yes I do but I have never seen the Park icon come on which is why I asked the question.
You can't have autopilot engaged at those low speeds so far as I know so I haven't tried.
Is this where my confusion lies?

Auto Park is finnicky and generally unreliable in my experience. It works best when there are cars on either side of the parking space, but even then it's spotty in my experience. I can almost never get it to activate if there are not cars on either side of the space.

U don’t use AUtopilot for auto park ..u need to drive slowly for cameras to see

I think I see the light. I was trying to practice this with no other cars in sight, let alone on either side of an open parking space.

Yup, auto park uses the distance between two adjacent cars, paying no attention to the painted lines. It should not attempt a landing if there is more than one space available. maybe some day...

Same issue for me - recently upgraded to FSD but on AP2 and MCU1 .. drove around a parking lot today like a total creeper waiting for P sign to show up in cluster and nothing?

I am going to get HW3 and MCU2 upgrade this week - not sure if that will help?

You have to command it to start. Just ignore the offer.
