do you have a gateway? for powerwall 2s you dont log into "the powerwall" at all, you log into the gateway. The instructions for logging into the gateway provided by tesla are here:

The gateway don't have any network presence at all, there's a 4 conductors 18awg shielded comm cable between the pw+ and the gateway. for the PW 2 its not the tesla account password either. Is the reset process for you went through different than what is described in the tesla link above?
For PW+ the password can be found inside the inverter. You’ll have to open the front cover and look inside. My install team also provided this info attached to the back of powerwall leaflet.

I've tried to change the password on my Powerwall/Gateway, but it always reverted after 1 login.
In the app, go to Settings | My Home Info. Use your Tesla account e-mail address, and the last 5 digits of the serial number shown as the password.

Others have reported that they got this issue fixed by calling Tesla PW support. I have this issue too, but the inconvenience of using the default password hasn't surpassed the effort it takes to call Tesla about it.
