Are you wanting the entire handle dipped? Even the exposed part of the handle when the handle is extended? Or are you wanting just the exposed surface when they're retracted? Either case, it's much more work to remove the handle than to just mask off the car and dip them with them extended.

If you want just the exterior surface dipped, turn off auto present handles. Tape off the car with about 1-2 feet of plastic sheeting around the door handle for overspray. Use painters tape and have the blue tape about 1/2 to 1 inch around the door handle. The gap between the handle and the door will create a break in the dip that will allow you to peel the excess dip off the car.

A ripped open garbage bag would work too. Put the garbage bag over the door handles so the handle is in the center of the garbage bag. Cut a hope open for the handle then tape it up.
