How to safely eject USB media memory stick?

I know how to safely eject the dashcam USB drive but how do you eject a separate USB drive containing media files?

There isn't any special method - just pull the thing out. It's only reading, not writing, so you can't do any damage to your device.

The dash cam function is always writing to the USB drive. If you don’t use the dash cam and only use the USB for music, your statements could be correct.

Since you are not writing to the separate media drive, you can remove it at any time.
