How to store charging cable

Hi everyone, haven't gotten my Model X but installed an outlet in preparation. Used an outdoor NEMA 1450 outlet in my driveway.

I don't have a garage and I live in NYC with snow/ice/rain. How should I secure my charging cable for the car? Can I hang it out outside in the elements okay? I could use a hose type hook. Or will I have to store in the frunk and pull it out every time I get home?

I would tend to recommend adding a little cover over the plug and then affixing the plug to the wall (to keep from walking) and to keep the connector covered when not in use. Some sort of place to coil the cord would be suggested. That plug is not designed to be plugged in and removed daily, which is why I suggest leaving it there.
I personally have two UMCs, one in the garage and one that stays in the car. It's cheaper and more flexible than the wall charger.
