Did you post those links to say that they had actual Answers to the question? Or to say that this question was already asked and no answer exists? They have only suggestions on what to try and NO confirmed answers to how to turn off the rainbow road/cowbell sounds.
Why did you post links to Enable cowbell when my question was to disable cowbell?
I’ll answer your question. Unfortunately, you have to let it go through its routine; it’ll stop after what seems like an excessive amount of time. You can also stop it by rebooting the infotainment system (press and hold both scroll wheels.)

You can't turn it off. You have to trade your Model 3 in on a new vehicle. It's part of Tesla's plan to encourage us to upgrade.
That "effect" lasts about 3 times longer than is welcome. Gets old really quick.

I asked this question just to see if ANYONE out there knows other than me.
I actually accidentally figured it out and didn't see any indication anywhere on this site or any other site. This whole time no one posted the simple trick I found to turn it off (no need to reboot of any kind).
Hopefully someone else here will guess what it is.

Tap the right steering wheel button 3 times, and instruct the voice command "theres no place like Palo Alto"
The same way you started, tap 4 times the gear stalk while in autopilot (that is the other way to start it vs from the touch screen menus). But we need more cowbells

That doesn't work. I've tried many other ways and they don't work. Only the fart sound functionality works to turn it off.
Trust me it does, just make sure you are doing it correctly, just tap the stalk as you do to engage autopilot, not in a rush. No joking. I just tested again right now on my 2020 LR AWD latest non-beta software
Let me just clarify. This works while driving. I have no clue how to do it when the car is stopped or in park. Hope it helps
