Hi all,

Curious if anyone has knowledge or experience in repairing a Tesla HPWC (Gen 2) with Type 2 plug. I have one that has an intermittent connection of the Control Pilot (CP).

Has anyone repaired one before that would care to share? Does anyone have a source for spare cables or plugs, or possibly a failed unit that would be a potential cable donor?

You didn’t mention the age, but I’m fairly sure the connector has a 4 year warranty.

Build date is 2015 so likely expired.

I may be wrong on the Gen. I thought Gen 1 were 40A. What I have is 32A/3ph.

Yes I rebuilt my charger with generic parts and made a video

There is a White wire in the cable that is not used. They sometimes cut it short but if you only need one of the small cables maybe you can swap it with the white?

Thanks. I noticed that in the wall end of the cable. going to dig into the plug and try to find the other end.
