I'm currently sitting in my MX, fully charged, ready to go on a mini-road trip and I noticed that my car is humming. Is this normal?

It is silent outside - it's 215am, no one is awake. I noticed it earlier tonight too on my drive home to charge before I leave... Should I be worrying? It's louder than silent.

Wow! I just jumped! My auto sensing wipers just wiped my windshield.. Totally just spooked
Me! That's how silent it is... Except for this odd hum.... Any tips? Is this "normal" ?

Try turning off the AC and see if it goes away. My guess it's climate control.

It's not. It was 100% completely silent outside and I turned off the AC and seat cooling option.

Your car is not OFF...it's still awake , must be something running..I hear it too but seems to disappear when the dashboard says" CAR OFF"

There are fans in the 17 inch display CPU that you can hear when it is very quiet - perhaps that?

Maybe its the MX counting motor.

That motor that is counting all of the money you are saving by not having to visit the gas pump anymore.

The humming noise seems to get quieter once I turn the car on. But it's definitely still there.

Gf confirms that @SSD420 is not crazy!!!

image.jpeg I do however now here a scraping noise, but I'm not moving. I'm merely sitting with the car on, on my driveway.

Possible that it is the radiator fan running? I hear ours on our S & X occasionally when they are just sitting there as they do try to keep the battery pack at an optimal temp.

If it starts singing, I'd definitely take it in.

I got another SC appointment for about a month from now, as I'm now starting to have other problems from the driver side FWD mysteriously not closing sometimes, part of the bottom of the car isn't attached among other minor things so far...
