I'm the opposite here. I find the car in Auto goes into Recirculate way too much and have been manually setting mine to outside air. This is especially critical in the cold, winter months or if it's raining and damp. If you recirculate air in these conditions you will get window fogging and it is a huge safety concern of mine. I kept mine manually on outside air all winter and never once had even a hint of window fogging as long as I did this. Unfortunately using the mobile app resets the HVAC to full Auto. If I forgot, the windows starting to fog up would remind me to switch it back to outside air and the windows would almost immediately start to clear. Tesla needs to modify the logic so that if the temperature is below some level, Auto keeps the system from going into Recirculate.
