HW3 cannot see traffic cones

My 2017 X has HW3; I can see traffic lights and stop signs, but cannot see any traffic cones and trashcan bin; I went to service center; they checked and informed the following, not sure what it is mean, I still cannot see any traffic cones. Please advise.

Test Drove vehicle and Verified Customer Concern. This option has been removed and the visualization icon should not be present. The vehicle is operating as expected, and no further action is required

Do you have MCU1 or MCU2? (MCU1 doesn't display traffic cones even though HW3 sees them.)

I have MCU1

My 2017 S with HW3 and MCU1 is the same, no cones. I'm sure it can still 'see' the cones, just won't display them.

I changed recently my MCU1 to MCU2 and upgrade to HW3 I saw the trafic cones
You need new screen for that BUT I recommand to upgrade to MCU2 it's fantastic it's a new world, The sound is great (specialy with GPS voice)

Well there you go. That's the reason you are not seeing them. I'm surprised the service center didn't tell you that.

Totally understand now. Do u think I should spend $2500 to upgrade to MCU2? Is that worth?

Not just to see cones. But I have been very glad that I upgraded to MCU2. My 2017 MX was so buggy before, and is so much better now. Several threads on the subject. Many happy owners reporting in.

I upgraded and glad I did. There are other threads about this and it seems many people like the upgrade. I could care less about whether I see cones or not. I like the many other improvements in MCU2
