Hyundai Autonomous demo at CES (Autotrader UK)

    seems others are pretty advanced with Autonomous tech

    Hyundai Ioniq autonomous ride review

    programmed course, but public road demo with no intervention.

    Even more is the the Ioniq can be configured as a full EV.

    Quite impressed, Tesla and Uber might be catching the headlines but some others like Hyundai are quietly making substantial progress too.

    Self driving might be impressive but without battery production capacity they'll not be able to make volume.

    Fair point - but I would suggest it is a bold person to bet against Samsung SDI (automotive batteries) - also a S. Korean company.
    Samsung typically won't get involved in a market unless they are/become one of the top 3 players.

    Batteries might be great, but production capacity is the issue. If all the sudden they announce a gigafactory level production ramp up Ill eat my words but im not holding my breath.
