I-29 thoughts

In tinkering with ev trip planner one of my main drives of i29 is rather dicey on an S60 between charges. Specifically KC-Sioux Falls, SD. The sc in Council Bluffs may be doable on a warm day driving at/below speeds but I was wondering if any news of sc's in Sioux City or Sioux Falls, for that matter St. Joseph are in discussion. edit: For that matter Brookings or even Fargo.

St. Joe has a Nissan quick charger at the HyVee which we use. Council Bluffs North is very dicey in winter. We did it once in winter during a snow storm but we went quite slow and wouldn't recommend trying it.

We have made the Independence (KC) to Council Bluffs many times, but with our 85. If the conditions are less than ideal, you will not make the 200 mi between the two SuperChargers. We did get the CHAdeMO adapter and use the fast charging in KC, sometimes north KC, and St. Joes, and that makes the trip much easier. There is also free level 2 charging in Nebraska City, not too far off the road. As to north of Council Bluffs, we have made it to each of the nearest SuperChargers on 90.
