Jerk bashes his door into my 2 week old Model 3.

Hoping this can be fixed with a paintless repair but not sure.

I feel your pain. One month in I was careless driving into a lot and hit the curb! I was so angry at myself for days. Luckily I found a guy in my area with a cargo van that has a sanding and paint shop in the back. All he does is fix rims. He made the rim look perfect in about an hour. My screw-up cost me $150 but the car is pristine again. Good luck on yours.

Sorry man. No paintless repair there I’m afraid. I was rear ended when mine was 9 days old. Bumper cover damage, chips, cracks and licence plate imprint. I can’t speak highly enough of Excellence Auto, Tesla’s longest approved GTA body shop. Aluminum specialists as well which is really important for your case. They did a great job on my bumper. Paint match is better than the factory one was. Removed the bumper for the repair and repaint and reinstalled. They had Ferrari’s, Porsche’s, BMW’s, Audi’s and Tesla’s there. Worth the drive and hassle. I will never take my car anywhere else. Seriously. Feel free to PM me.

After:

Upper is original factory trunk paint. Lower is the repainted bumper (black flecks are dirt from 100 km drive home, unwashed):

Which location did you go to?

Which location did you go to?

The original one at 210 Midwest. Gated compound in the back and security. Not your average body shop. They repaired my car for my insurance companies estimate to a dollar. On site car rental as well. I rented from Enterprise and they handled the return for me. The important part to me was I felt totally confident throughout the entire process.

I'm in the process of getting extensive repairs done to my 2017 Model S via Excellence Auto.- Concord Location.

About two weeks ago while driving in a parking lot, a Dodge Ram backed into the side of my car - there was extensive damage to the front mirror, rear passenger door and rear quarter panel. The accident was captured on my dashcam and was quickly used to determine that I was not at fault for insurance purposes.

Car was taken into Excellence early last week. Adjuster viewed the car the same day - although I just received the estimate/report late yesterday. Total damage to the car is approx $15k. It's estimated that parts will take 3 weeks to arrive, and 23 business days of repairs before I get my car back.

To this point, Excellence has been exceptional in terms of communication and customer care.

The highlight of that is my insurance company attempted to place me into a Toyota Camery for the duration of repairs. The team at Excellence introduced me to Canada Car Rental as an alternative. Their owner - Lesley - was insistent that I should be placed in a similar type car to the Model S as I was deemed not at fault for the accident in accordance with the Ontario Insurance Act. Naturally my insurance company protested, but Lesley argued on my behalf and a more suitable replacement was approved - specifically a Porche Panarama 4 hybrid - for the duration of the repair.

I'll reserve judgment on the work of Excellence until its completed and inspected, but thus far my dealings with them have been exceptional and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I got the exact same after 2 weeks in June. Still not repaired it.

Sorry to hear. I ran mine through insurance as the car was only 9 days old at the time, police report placed fault on the other driver, I didnt really trust her ability to pay cash plus I had a zero deductible if required. In some respects I'm glad i got the first (ding, scrape, scratch, bump, etc) out of the way. After having gone through this repair process my trepidation (read fear) of ANY body repair/paintwork is gone. I hope not to need their services again but great to know Excellence is there if I do.
