I feel bad for Mobile Service Technicians

Had an appointment to replace an interior part that was never properly installed and clips were damaged and smashed sideways (from improper installation and blunt force).

Mobile technician showed up with no part "the part didn't arrive but my boss sent me out here anyway"

Why?

"to see if I can do anything to fix it"

But I need a new part, you can't fix it.

"I know, here's a new key card"

And he left.


Prior to leaving he said this happens frequently, empty service visits with no fix.

Not mad because it's cosmetic but man, they really need to get their chit together.
 
Ya a few of the techs told me their managers are idiots. They just crunch numbers and not actually understand the jobs out there. All they're doing is satisfying criteria to show they're responsive, care, and quick to solutions. Their management sucks. Techs hate it.
