I got the call

Nov. 16 ordered placed - car going in today! for the 3.0 battery upgrade. Is that the shortest wait yet? Totally caught me off guard but cool....

When I placed my order I was told 3-5 months for my 1.5. I was told the backlog is down.

Cool, right in the expected range then... on the phone they said 5 days - sounds too good yes? When I dropped it off they said up to a month perhaps only 2 weeks, they will keep in touch.

When I picked it up (early!) it seemed to be nearly or fully charged and showed an ideal range of 284. I drove home about 30miles, this is what it shows (not turned on)

Nice! I on the other hand, am still stuck. Finally got my call (after 15 months or so), car went in for a few days but when i got it back, it kept "stalling" out - second time on the freeway which was scary. Started up again though and got it home. They brought over the flatbed and took it back to fix it. Said the switchpack (?) needed to be replaced. At least they gave me an S to keep me company until I get my baby back.

I wouldn't think the switchpack would cause it to lose all power on the freeway. But you never know.

I got a "Backup Power Supply Service required" message when I first started it up.
It's a 1.5 so when that first happened I gave it a Range Charge, hoping it was just a rebalancing issue, but then it happened again.

So, Msjulie, you been out taking long rides in Performance Mode with the heat or ac blasting the whole time?
I'm still waiting, part is supposed to be in this week...

I'll admit to not feeling bad running heat + AC to defrost the windows in the early am Good luck. My car was done in Fremont, that may have helped with the quick turnaround.

My car is still in Fremont. Today they said they are still waiting on the part to come in from Europe (?!).
Am enjoying the S loaner though- not as much fun as the Roadster, but more fun than most else.

Interesting they don't have the parts, weird - but mine must have been all there because it really was a swap and they were done. Good luck, the S isn't as fun but on rainy days it might be easier?

S is definitely better on rainy days!

Latest is that they said the switchpack my car was waiting for arrived from Europe and was installed!
But they still didn't have the TPMS part and just said they were backordered, so I asked them to at least disable the TPMS notifications so it would stop beeping at me all the time. They said they were going to see if that was possible.

Does Tesla throw in an annual as part of the 3.0 upgrade? Since they have to remove the PEM it would seem like a good time to for them to blow out the fans.
