I don't have OVMS yet. I only got mine installed yesterday. It is *so* much better than the old Pioneer system.

bought my unit but have not installed yet. Mark you did some mods to the system installer and so on. is that difficult? I ne'er have worked with android.......

Stock is ok, but limited in available apps (primarily navigation).

I did quite a bit of work on mine. I do suggest you get the installer to lay a USB cable from the laptop port on the back of the parrot to somewhere in the car where you can plugin a laptop to jailbreak/root/sideload if you decide to. I put mine just below the fuse box.
