I ordered my CA legacy personalized plates back on May 4th

Been over 2 months now. How long does it usually take?
Feels like the wait for the Model 3 all over again..

A friend of mine said that they quickly refund your payment if the plates are not approved.
I guess the long wait is a good sign that we will get ours.

I guess after waiting for the M3 for over 2 years the DMV looks really fast!

When I ordered, they said 8-12 weeks. You're still in the window they told me.

...it will take 4 months..i called friday and the rep told me the ones being produced as of mid july are the ones being approved in march..I ordered in the beginning of may and they are slated to be done end of august/first week of september..i wish i ordered in february but wasnt sure i could leave them at the dmv until i picked them up..for those waiting for their 3 to be delivered..order them now..

I ordered personalized legacy in December 2017 and they arrived in April. Four months.

I ordered non-personalized legacy in April 2018 and received them in June. Two months.

3.5 months for personalized legacy for me. Had a friend order non-personalized legacy and took 3 weeks.

Ordered august, 3,2018. received 9.18.18. Black plates..it doesnt look good with my silver frame. I need that black frame. (Non personalized plate)

Lucky! The one for my Tesla took right about 60 days. I'm expecting the same, if not longer, for my other car.

...non personalize legacy plates do not take long as they are just stamping them in a certain order..personalize ones will take 3-4 months after approval..

My regular non-personalized ones came in 14 days. In line with what others were reporting, if Tesla files with DMV right away. Tesla must have filed with the DMV right away for me. Didn't like the number I got, so I ordered a personalized one. The special plate personalized one took right around 60 days exactly to come

Do you get charged extra every year for the legacy plates, or is it a one time initial fee?
