I pulled the trigger and ordered a MX Plaid!

Hello all. Haven’t been on these boards in a long while.

Tomorrow I take delivery of my new MX Plaid. I’m coming from a 2021 Model Y LR (with speed boost).

This is by far the most I’ve ever spent on a car. I’m excited! I was just curious if anyone knows if the July build MX Plaids come with the new sport seats? Or is this just a MS Plaid?

I'm pretty confident they won't bring the sport seats to Model X, otherwise they would've done so already. Yeah they're better at side support for cornering, but the seating is way less comfortable compared to the regular seats. The X really isn't a sporty vehicle, that's also why it doesn't come with track mode.

Still, with the Plaid you're getting the contrasting piping on the seats which looks really good, especially on the white interior.

Have fun with your new car :)

Thanks! Yea, coming from a MYLR+ to this has been an experience. On my drive home from Tesla I was blown away by the extra power - then I realized that I only had it on “sport” mode… lol
After I got home my wife asked me to pick something up at the store, so I switched it to “plaid” mode and adjust the steering and suspension. Plaid mode caught me by surprise. I knew that it was quick but experiencing it with me behind the wheel was a different story. It pulls so hard. My eyeballs actually hurt.

I said something similar with my LR3. Didn't stop me from performance boost on the 3 and trading it for a PY or a PX.

I did say I didn't need a plaid S. My plaid X was fast enough. IF I go much faster I'm going to pass out.
Yeah, I also read that the plaid motors have potted mfsets why set in there and that’s why the regen is is so much stronger on the plaid versus the long range ..is the same motor as the same semi it’s designed for 1,000,000 miles

Permanent Magnet Rotor, Carbon Sleeved RotorMOSFET, High Current, Thermally Potted

Maybe regen is stronger because there's one more motor?
