I traded my Tesla for a Lexus

The Audi eTron can be had with massage seats, 360, night vision, etc, and is still quicker than the LS500. It is the quietest EV I've driven.
The Jaguar I-Pace EV400 can't be ordered with night vision or massage seats, but is quicker than my 2020 MSX at 100% SOC, and wildly quicker at 50% SOC. The Jaguar is perhaps the best handling EV other than the Porsche when it comes to driver control. The P3 might lap quicker because it accelerates harder, is 800lb less, and wears summer tires, the Jaguar on All-Season's will keep up with it on the tight stuff because it has a better feel in ALL OFF (Dyno) mode. You can drift it on pavement if you wish. The Audi is slower than the Teslas, and lacks the precision of Jaguar, but is most luxurious EV built to date.

If you are really in need of luxury amenities as your #1 priority, you still don't have to buy an ICE. Sure Tesla lacks massage seats and night vision, but I very rarely use those features. They are cool party tricks for <5% of my driving hrs, and not necessary.

Really ridiculous all the hate towards anything non-Tesla. Get over yourselves. Some of these posters give the rest of the Tesla community a bad rep.

Yes, we love our EVs but don't act like you never drove a gas car before Tesla existed. We were just as guilty of breathing the fumes and dealing with the realities of ICE ownership. You can still have a very nice ICE car. Not everyone gets a Tesla to improve the planet or their health.

I love to share the benefits of our Raven S with others too but I don't shove it down their throat. Let folks feel good about their choice, it isn't hurting you in any way. And, it's not like EVs are perfect either. Cold weather has a very real and significant impact on range. A buddy's 10-month-old Model S has the yellowing around the screen. I give Tesla a pass on panel gaps because the cost went into the battery and tech, it's still bad though when owners report water leaking into the footwell or base of the windshield. My Raven S had a paint defect so bad the SC repainted the A-pillar and both side mirrors. I am also taking my MS to the SC on Monday to replace both front half-shafts (again) due to shudder. Lastly, the popularity of Teslas will create issues for the existing owner base. As Model Y takes off and adoption of Teslas continues to grow, my fear is increased crowding and lines at existing Supercharger stations despite V3 upgrades.

But back to my point, troll or not, it's fine for someone to leave Tesla. Their money, their choice. At least it frees up a Supercharger spot (well, maybe not since that trade-in will probably get re-sold). Let them be and feel secure in your own choice without having to bash someone else's (pretty nice) ride.

That would all carry a lot more weight if we weren’t discussing posting it on a Tesla enthusiast forum.

You have a choice. Don't elevate "I only care about my cabin noise" over real and hard consequences for others. Yes, you're not the only factor, but if you can afford the option and you chose an ICE you chose to add to the direct health issues of others.

I had no choice. There was no EV offering. And if it were not for Tesla, there would be none today.
As soon as I had a choice, I got the most cost effective EV I could afford (which was not a Tesla btw, but also would not exist were it not for them).

It's not about "improving the planet", the planet will do just fine regardless of climate. The things living on it less so. Humans in particular, the least. And it's not about your health, but that of the people who love and work next to roads and in cities, which is most of us.

Your post proves that even given the choice, we as species are too ignorant to make long term choices. You just proved that this must be driven by policy. ICE bans in population centers and stiff cost-offset taxes or ICE registration fees can't come soon enough.

Keep saying people like me sit on high horses. It's not going to stop me and many others doing what we can to change policy.
ICE cars have improved greatly emissions-wise not to mention that humans are living much longer than when cars were first built.

.

Great choices if you don't want to travel cross country in a reasonable amount of time.

I like LS but it reminds me too much of a Boat like the old Cadillacs did it is very comfy and all but you explained all the feature your LS has in less than 5 min video :) I start showing people features on my Model S and it keeps going and going and going like the energizer bunny and than there is an update and there are more features :)

if I had to drive a day to a get repairs done on my car I would not have bought a Tesla.
I hear ya. Shame on me for being a blinded Tesla fanboy back in 2015. The $100 ranger fee helped convince me to buy. They bumped it to $1,500 shortly after buying my car and then for a while there I waited a year and a half to get service because of that. Fee charged even for warranty repairs! If I've learned one thing about Tesla is don't trust what they say today will still apply tomorrow.

The OP was looking for clicks and being facetious. He also invited feedback positive or negative knowing full well that he is stirring the pot here with his sales ad. He gets what he gets. We will welcome him back when he gets rid of that ugly Toyota...:) Sorry but that grill is just ugly! Grass is always greener on the other side... I wish him good luck with it! He can go to the Lexus forums for his attaboy!
Oh man the trolls here are something else. If you took a few seconds you will see I've been around here since 2014. All these new fanboys will learn some Tesla lessons after a few years... cars are pretty great actually but the company.... hmmm...

Clearly you didn't see the video outlining all the issues I had with my Tesla. There will be LESS maintenance just doing one oil change per year. And it will be cheaper.
I saw your video dissing Tesla and selling Toyota (Lexus)! We will be happy to welcome you back...:)
As I said, grass is always greener on the other side...until it isn't. It will be nice when Toyota actually produces a competitive BEV. And please Toyota, get rid of the ugly..

Personally I find it interesting and informative to see what people are buying after their first Tesla. I know I'm seriously considering a non tesla vehicle to replace my Model S given that Tesla has capped my and thousands of other older car's supercharging speed by more than half with a software update
I hear ya man. Tesla burned me a few times. Lexus can't make my gas tank smaller or magically make the gas filler tube half the size years after I buy it... ;) It irks me that Tesla acts like they own every Tesla forever. Slowing down charging, decreasing battery capacity, cutting off DC charging entirely, etc. all on cars that are years old. But oh look here's our shiny new latest product, if you want the best you must give us more money and buy the latest shiny gadget...
