I wonder how often this happens?

I was talking to my CPO specialist today about my 2015 S85D with 28k miles. I had forgotten to ask her about the repair/maintenance history on the car so she was looking through he records for me. She wasn't coming up with anything until this came up: the previous owner, after purchase, paid the $2k for the dual charger upgrade. The car description didn't mention the fast charger and, I suspect, probably wasn't reflected in the price. It made me wonder how often previous owners add options after the sale that only show up in the service records that aren't consulted in determining the price of the car.

I myself am adding the Integrated Center Console which they will install before delivery. I bet when I trade this car in for the next, they probably won't give me credit for the console and it will be a nice surprise for the next owner when he takes delivery.

The fast charger isn't an option that I would have purposefully chosen, since I won't have a high amperage source at the house, but it will be nice if I'm ever at a destination charger with the capability.

    It does happen.

Tesla sometimes forgot to software-limit the battery pack down so new owners have been enjoying longer range with no extra charge.

However, once Tesla is aware of the mistake, it would then remotely limit the battery pack down to what owners paid for.
