Ice on charge port door

We've owned our X 90D for a year live in NJ and go snowboarding as often as our time lets us. That being said if we're in Vermont of upstate NY and the X has been charged over night outside while its snowing Ice tends to build up on the charge port door. I've picked it out with my finger and its been fine but has anyone ever put some kind of a cover over the handle and door so ice can't form so easily? Something like a ski binding cover? I just don't want to damage the door picking ice out of it making sure its going to be able to close.
