Whether they release tomorrow or not, they won't release to everyone at once. Their servers can't handle the load, so it will be over several days. So if they start installing 8.0 tomorrow but someone here doesn't get it until next week, what will you do?
My guess it that it goes out first to Early Access owners for testing and verification. That will take a few weeks I think.
But at they are sworn to secrecy we'll never know
EAP should have gone out last week.

While I am almost always looking forward to a new major release of software, I am really torn on this one for so many reasons, not the least of which is that I have a lot of driving in the next few days and probably will appreciate 7.1's fewer nags, from what I've absorbed about the changes in 8. But if 8 has better AP all around, there's that to consider. And the enhancements to nav and entertainment.
Some have tweeted asking about 8 but no new Elon tweets yet. It's not always delay, delay, delay, surprise, as the first release with full Autopilot was also properly announced and propagated, for the most part, if I recall...

Picked up my X today and had an update ready on it which is going to install tonight. I said it was probably bug fixes, but DS kept alluding to the fact that it was 8.0. Count me in on this car payment.
