Got an update notice too (~11:00pm PST, Tues Sept 20) and ran out to do it -- alas, just a "minor bugs" update. I suspect they may do the minor version ups to set the stage for 8.0.

I'm already on the latest I'm aware of, which I got late last week. So unless it's yet another 7.1 version (which is possible, esp. if EM is tweeting that "Thursday's the day").

I set it to install at 1:30. Going to bed. Will see in the morning.

it is just after midnight and I got a software update notice for my Model X. I'm sure it's the 7.1 "Chinese Hacker block" upgrade (AKA "It's 8.0!! Oh crap, no it's not." upgrade v2.36.31 on Tesla Firmware Upgrade Tracker). I got it for my Model S last weekend but... now I can't sleep and have to stay up and see what it really is. Will keep you posted.

AFAIK the estimated install time given for updates is always the same, irrespective of whether it's a one-line bugfix or a whole new software release. It's 45 minutes on pre-AP cars, and 1h40m on AP cars.

Also I need to pay £130k ($169k) for my XP100DL next month - I'm assuming the "next payment" offer extends to international buyers as well?
