Only if it came with the FSB (Full S*x Bot) upgrade at no cost. Gotta do something to while away the time while waiting at the supercharger!
What they don't tell you is that it won't stay in the room consistently, and sometimes randomly runs into the wall. Oh, and occasionally, it just stops for no reason. And it can't always recognize when there are other people nearby, causing it to behave very inappropriately. And if you don't respond to its nags in a timely manner, it shuts down completely. I hear they're going to fix all of that in a future update, but it may require a new computer, and it all depends on regulatory approval.

If they can figure out the coding for a bit they can figure it out for a car. The car has more input than a bot. The box it’s in should make no difference.
The bot will be able see curbs and polls in the blind spots of the cameras by exiting the car. Also it will be able to plug in the charger.
It may also have better cameras and a newer FSD computer.

This has got to be a joke comment. You're basically kicking the rock down the road and now using BOT cameras/etc. instead of the car and even worse, relying on a BOT for input to the steering wheel and pedals. Geez, what can go wrong w/ that especially a wheel with a YOKE! LOL. If the car couldn't do it on it's own with much more simplicity, why would the Bot do it any better?

It couldn't, but it could provide an extra set of cameras. :D

if car cam1 can't recognize an object, bot cam1 can't either.
Except the bot a much better camera (or cameras), with better hardware, and the ability to get out and look around the vehicle and see objects the current vehicle cameras cannot. As the OP said, FIRST PRINCIPLES.

The bot/vehicle interaction should be no problem. This is a precision robot with catlike reflexes. Similarly the bot will not suffer from human habits when it comes to the yoke, and should be able to manipulate it masterfully.

For the record, I am planning to accept a Tesla Bot as compensation.

I think the Tesla bot would be so much more useful, and so much more practical.

It can walk to the grocery store (assuming you live within typical walking distances) to get you something.
It can put the steaks on the frying pan so you don't get splattered with hot grease.
It can peel the potatoes.
It can stir stuff

People on TMC can create recipes the bot can cook, and all you have to do it download them to your bot.

Or maybe I'm just hungry right now.

A car can be upgraded with better hardware. In either way, its how the system has been trained and that training is from the current fleet. You don't need insert a bot to physically drive the car. And no, it won't have cat-like reflexes.. that one won't happen for a long time.

Would you accept the bot if it had to sit in your lap so you can be ready to take over?

Upgrading the car hardware takes a lot more labor than building something in a factory.

And yes this poll was a joke. Though if you think about it....
