If I change my order, will I have to apply for the loan again?

If I change from a Model 3 LR to a Performance will I have to apply for the loan again?

I was planning on making a larger down payment so the loan amount is exactly the same. Was hoping there wouldn't have to be another hard inquiry as I just had one and I might get a higher interest rate.

all hard inquiries for the same thing in a 2-3 week span for car loans and home loans are treated like 1, as it relates to counting against your credit score. If the other pull you are talking about is the car loan, and you did it 3 weeks or less, you will see another inquiry but it wont ding your score.

Car and home loans are ment to be shopped around, so this is how they dont penalize someone for checking for the best rates for these type loans. This isnt a tesla thing, this is a "credit" thing.

TL ; DR -- as long as the other hard pull was a car loan, and it was 3 weeks or less ago, you are ok.

(note, the above does not apply to credit card loans).
