If SMT indicates "Max regen" is 85 kW, why don't I get that?

In the morning, I've been watching my "max regen" increase up to a final value of 85 kW as my car warms up during my commute. Today, I decided to see where on the UI screen (the green/black line under the speedometer) the full 85 kW was....So at freeway speed, I completely let off the gas and watched my motor/battery power.....only, it NEVER hit 85 kW (or even close), rather maxed out at ~65 - 68 kW. Anybody smarter than me know why if once "max regen" reaches the full 85 kW, why you wouldn't get it when you lift off the accelerator at freeway speeds?

Graph shows me trying this TWICE:

I wonder if there is logic to only decelerate so quickly. Aka if you were going down a hill at that speed it may regen more.

Edit: ah looks like the linked article says .2g.

RWD cars in general have a harder time maxing out regen because of the weight transfer to the front wheels during heavy deceleration. There is less traction out back so there’s only so much you can recover.

I would imagine that only the AWD cars can truly max out regen.
