It's my understanding that the fees are applied for taking up a Supercharger space when your car is not sucking up electrons... and thus preventing other Tesla's from being able to charge.

If only Tesla could figure out how to charge fees to ICE cars that do the same...

Whether you get charged idles fees isn't the important thing here. It's the fact that the Supercharger is over 50% utilized and you are using one of the spaces that someone else needs.

When finished charging, please move your car. And that really should say when finished charging to 80% at a busy Supercharger, please unplug and move your car. But then again, Tesla has implemented that at many locations.

By the way, I see @ewoodrick and @byeLT4 are saying over 50% full. But the policy actually says that it is "at least" 50%, so at 50% or more would activate the idle fees.
