Over on M3OC we're trying to arrange for a head-to-head efficiency comparison between an AWD and a RWD Model 3 with the same wheel configuration. This would involve traveling together to a flat road at a time/place with little traffic and driving a couple miles (in each direction) together (far enough apart to not be drafting, but close enough so that the weather conditions are identical), same tire pressure, etc, at a fixed set of speeds (such as 55 / 65 / 75 / 85 mph).

We've found a RWD M3 with 19" in San Francisco who's up for it and an AWD 19" in Boston who's up for it. And it'd be awesome if we could get some sort of AWD 18" driver who's willing to do an aero comparison. Anyone up for it? :)

Hi Karen!

I've created a temporary filter in the AWD / Performance Order Tracker. There's 24 orders of AWD + 18" wheels in the Bay Area I find:

The sheet doesn't have email addresses, but many will have similar usernames to their names on this forum. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all your great input posted. Enjoy your visit - can we come visit YOU in Iceland?? ;)
