For those of us in the Chicago / NW Illinois area, a "meetup" group ... for real face to face meetings ... has been started. Anyone in the area is welcome to drop by and celebrate this wonderful car. This is not a "groupie" thing, just a casual place for us to hang out in person. The URL? Tesla Owners Illinois (Palatine, IL) - Meetup Don't let the (unintentional) "label" owner deter you ... includes reservation holders!
Should probably be "Tesla Motors Northern IL"... there is an entire state south of Chicago, you know.
Don't worry the St. Louis group will be happy to annex all southern Illinois Tesla owners/reservation holders.
You did! I was referring to the rumor that there was an entire state south of Chicago. (I still don't believe it. ) Sent via Tapatalk.
Had our third monthly get together today in Lombard and, because the parking lot had a couple of MOdel S's, thought we'd better share!
Not following ... and too late maybe? Because? What did the photographer do??? - - - Updated - - - Met for lunch indoors first, then head to the parking lot to leave and find it difficult to leave with all those cars screaming for attention! We don't need no stinking charging points! We have raaaaaange man!
(Cannot PM you ... your mailbox is full ... so ... ) Bonnie suffers from OCD? Wow. I am in Palo Alto for 2 days and I already saw a model s driving by at breakfast. Factory tour this afternoon. I'm ready! Driving a rental Ford Fusion! YUCK! Robert
@Inbox - Whoops. +1 -7, room for 6 more. /grumble Nah, she's not OCD about parking... well, AFAIK. There's was a thread that veered off into "parking skills by gender". I was alluding to that discussion.
looks like another beautiful late winter afternoon in Chicagoland! were you using black/white film? hope to join you guys with a 40kWh later this year
To my knowledge, we had only 1 obvious (woman driver). I put brackets around that in case anyone thought I was suggesting that other people were not obviously women! So it's us male drivers! Several women at the meeting but unsure how many of those couples had their car already and of those that did how many of the women parked it. Hardly PC to ask for a show of hands "how many women parked their car here". The one lady, whom I respect a lot, would have been expected to slap me!
