Any out there order in the last week? If so, what's your reservation number?
Electric has projected over 500k orders internationally for model 3.
It is assumed that model 3 sales will drift higher into 700k after last unveil and start of model 3 deliveries.
Since the mules have hit many roads-we believe orders have drifted much much higher.
The public is happy with the exterior. We believe there will be a major announcement about the interior that will
change how auto interiors work. It is projected the change will be announced on model s and X beginning of July and
then grandfathered in to model 3. We believe that the interior will be mostly controlled by voice or motion gestures.
We'll just have to wait and see. 'Spaceship like' is the quote we are pointing to in this discussion.
Initially the reservation numbers appeared to be random, so I assume it's still the same way. Won't get any info from recent numbers I'm afraid.
Source for this? Couldn't find it.
the all famous 'We'
It's kind of sad that the amazing success of the Model 3 has to be under played, but I think it is required.
The current number of reservations has created greater than a year backlog. So there is absolutely no reason to promote the vehicle, because there is NOTHING you can do to sell many more (who really wants to wait 1+years?) . You can hope they are interested in other models that are available now, but if you tell people that you have 500k+ backlog and won't deliver new orders until 2019 (or whatever) you certainly turn away many buyers- which you don't want to do. Seems like the secret master plan might have worked out TOO well...
unless the alien dreadnought robotic assembly lines become the biggest disruption to conventional auto production ever and redefine the very meaning of efficient manufacturing.
<616,399 is the current answer.
As of March 31st they had $616,398,000 in total deposits. Some of those are going to be for other vehicles but I do not think it includes Energy products.
You can't count all of that because some of the funds are deposits for Models S/X (not solar roof though because that pre-order wasn't until may.)
You missed the character before the 616,399
Here it is again:
It's also less than a million
and two million
and a billion
at the end of 2015 the deposits were $283.370 million and at the very end of Q1 2016 before model 3 reservations this number was $391.363 million (probably due to Model X backlog.)
Generally Model S/X deposits hover around $200.00 - $250.000 Million+ meaning unless sales are way down, there's still around (relatively) the same number of reservations as before or they are converting them into Model S/X buyers.
