Importing my Tesla TO the US.

Hello all.

I'm considering moving to the US and was wondering how easy/difficult it would be to bring my Tesla with me.

I'm currently living in Europe where I have a 2014 Model S that was imported from the US (and so is US spec).

Obviously I have to pay for shipping, but would I have to pay import tax on the vehicle? Tax was already paid when it was purchased IN THE US, and then tax was paid when it was imported to Europe. I'm hoping as it was already taxed at first registration I won't need to pay tax on it again if I decide to ship it back.

Anyone have any experience in this area?

A bit late, but you definitely would not have to pay tax on it again. For the shipping, you'll have to look around for yourself for the best company to do it. One I can suggest personally is Car Shipping from the USA to Europe as they've helped me get my car over from the EU back here.
