In case anyone was worried about Tesla sales volumes ...

My car was in for annual service yesterday. The Vancouver service center is absolutely jam packed with shiny new S's. It was a challenge parking my loaner car.

Apparently there are so many deliveries this month they had to rent a vacant lot for the overflow.

Tesla website shows only 4 CPO cars for sale out of Vancouver ... Two are blue, one grey and one black. That one car does look like the darker sig red though. I did talk with the SC staff and they confirmed that almost all of the cars in the lot are new deliveries.

Along those same lines, about three weeks ago on my son & I were driving by the Tesla showroom/service center here in Minneapolis, and we noticed their parking lot was full of new Model S's. We stopped in just to check it out. One of the Tesla folks said it was their biggest monthly delivery ever.

I was at Paramas NJ recently to Supercharge. The parking lot was jammed with cars - mostly trade-ins. I asked a salesman about it and he said some people trade their cars every two years, some traded to get autopilot, and some traded to get P85D.

I don't suppose the return of the 5,000$ BC rebate is a big factor there, though it certainly must be giving a boost to LEAF sales.

BTW, the Canadian writer and troll Jeremy Cato pretty much accused Elon Musk of releasing fraudulent 1st quarter sales figures. His claim is easily demonstrated to be slander, but afaik he hasn't apologized or made any correction.

My P85D was production complete and "in transit from the factory" since the end of March. Vancouver seems to be the bottleneck as my DS told me they were swamped and couldn't even get my car there for PDI until they had more room. It eventually did but it took a month for my car to make it to Calgary. That was only after a series of emails and phone calls because my schedule was getting tight.

I also know the one of their DS's took some unexpected time off in the middle of April so they were behind. They actually had some big delivery specialist boss from Ontario fly out to help them with the deliveries.

It's my understanding that this is why there will be Superchargers in Vancouver and Calgary. The HPWCs aren't sufficient to have all of the delivered and serviced cars charged for pickup. I'll be shocked if the Vancouver or Calgary Superchargers are not at the service Centres. Has anyone heard where the new Vancouver Service Centre may be located?

When I received my P85D I was told by the delivery driver that he was doing 2-3 per week regularly going to Alberta. We are going to see a lot more Tesla's on Calgary roads. Vancouver said they were absolutely swamped (as the pics in the OP shows) and did not have the manpower to satisfy the demand.
