New 21" staggered wheels taken off at delivery of a P85D. This setup is as new as a set can get from a private sale. I know others are selling the same wheels for a cheaper price but with flaws like curb rash and used up tires. Also, these have wider wheels in the rear to give the Model S a more aggressive look.

    Price $2,900
    Local NY City sale preferred

Will the tpms work on the newer models?

Depends what VIN # the TPMS are from.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Old type TPMS:
    Tesla Part Number: 1010938-00-B
Manufacturer and Model: Baolong, model ?
How does one identify a Model S that requires it?
    VIN/Production date, VIN < P50900 (before ~ 9/2014)

    New type TPMS:
    Tesla Part Number: 1034602-00-A
Manufacturer and Model: Continental, model ?
How does one identify a Model S that requires it?
    VIN/Production date, VIN > P50900 (after ~ 9/2014)

    Both TPMS types:
    1. How can one identify which TPMS is mounted in a wheel and tire?
You cannot visually identify [externally] which TPMS is installed.

    2. What reaction does a new/old MS have to the older/newer TPMS?
Model S will not sync with the incorrect TPMS and will not be able to report air pressure

I looked up post on this forum about the older tpms and it looks like they won't work on a newer Model S.

Are you sure your P85D VIN is below 50900? There were very very few P85Ds manufactured with lower VINs, and they all went to the UK.

So these are 3-4 year old tires(based on vin)? Where were they stored and how? Thanks.
