Incentive for installing solar + powerwall together reduced?

Yesterday the incentive for installing together was $2500, today it is showing $1000 and the chat agent is acting very confused like it was never $2500.

Tesla changes pricing/strategy all the time, and their frontline people certainly seem less informed than even we here.

I wonder if they dropped the incentive because of the PW shortage to not encourage ordering multiple PWs.

When I first ordered in May I had a $9500 solar + powerwall discount (I ordered 4 powerwalls and I believe that at that time the discount increased as your ordered more powerwalls). In mid June the discount dropped to a flat $2500, but they also significantly lowered the cost of the solar portion of the system so I was able to get my order repriced and even though I lost $7000 of my solar + powerwall discount the system was still cheaper overall.

Unfortunately it looks like this might have been another pricing change.

Well, spoke with someone on the phone and confirmed, the price change went into effect this morning.

Looks like they reduced the price on the Powerwalls as well. So, the total price now is the about the same as when I ordered in the June/July timeframe.

Also, their Powerwall editor lets you select up to 10 Powerwalls now. Is that new?

They qualify whenever installed on a solar powered system. The Powerwalls and the solar panels don't need to be installed simultaneously for the Powerwalls to qualify for the tax credit.

The price of powerwalls previously was always 6500 per powerwall. What changed was the installation charge. One powerwall was (without any PV bundle)

Thats all without PV bundle discounts etc, and is what was in effect in January when I purchased my powerwalls. There was a discount if you were doing both at the same time, which basically seemed to wipe out the installation charge.... but I already had PV.

When I placed my order for the 2 PW, it was $17,000 for both, and the discount for both PV and PW install was $2,500. Now the price shows up at $13,000 for 2 PW, and install discount is $1,000.
