Increased performance on 28.x?

Ok so it definitely feels like my car is faster now with this new update because I'm breaking the tires loose a lot more often now. Anyone else experiencing this too? I have the 18" aeros and it's making me kinda wanna get a grippier tire once these need to be replaced. Which could be soon if I keep driving like this lol.

Edit: Just to be clear I have RWD long range model 3

I almost started a thread with the same question... That's a YES for me.

Drive on chill most of the time where I didn't notice anything, but yesterday and today on "standard" there was a lot more power. It felt like we were on the edge of traction around 20-30mph. Could be placebo or perhaps a change to traction control, but something definitely felt faster.

Nobody had any when they claimed the previous update made the car slower, so I wouldn't hold my breath

interesting....i just got an update yesterday but didn't think it would improve any numbers. version on my phone app says 2018.28.1 up from 2018.24.8

It's likely a change in the mapping on the accelerator pedal (ie: less push = more power)... numbers would validate reality though

I agree that hard data is needed. But it feels faster at full throttle. So pedal mapping wouldn't matter.

Yes, my best 0-60 on a dragy, software 24.1, 86% SOC, is 5.19
Tonight I went to the same spot software 28.1, 96% SOC, I made several attempts and my best time was............................Drum Roll Please......................5.19

Ah ha! 28.1. I said on 28.1 my trusty butt-o-meter said no change but Someone above said it it’s 28.2 lol.
