I apologize if this has been discussed already but I couldn't find it. This weekend I charged my model 3 to 100% and was quite surprised to see that it still had a little bit of regen. Of course, not much but it certainly wasn't free roll like it used to be. I know this was changed a few months ago but my point here is the regen really came back fast. By 98% is was quite significant where as before it would still have been almost zero.
What I noticed is when regenning the car would make the same sound it makes when it's generating waste heat prewarming the battery. So, i have to assume tesla made the smart decision to do very inefficient regen braking, creating waste heat, but allowing for a more universal experience even at high states of charge. Pretty genius really. Anyway, just in case anybody else had noticed the change
