I am constantly surprised by the things my Tesla needs. Latest: the Tesla person told me that at my car's age it is expected that the fluid under the glass of the touch screen will leak. This is clear & VERY sticky gel. Anyone else has/had this problem?

What your Tesla WON'T need:
  • Coolant hoses
  • Serpentine Belt
  • Oil Change
  • Transmission Fluid Flush
  • Timing Belt Replacement
  • Muffler
  • Starter/Solenoid
  • Alternator
  • Spark Plugs/Wires
  • Antifreeze Flush
  • Fuel Additives
  • Fuel (lol)

It's true that there are some high-failure items from the early cars, like the screen you mention (I think it's an adhesive problem?). In the long run, I think you'll find the average maintenance to be far less than an ICE vehicle.
