Inside Tire Wear 21s

So I put 21in turbines on my MS about 5k miles ago with new Michelin pilot sports. Here's how they look now

Took it to tesla and they said it was 'normal.' i know the MS has a lot of negative camber and to expect inside wear, but I'd expect at least 10k out of rear performance tires. Seems a bit ridiculous to me to have to change tires every 5k when I'm commuting, not racing.

What kind of mileage is everyone else getting out of your MS 21" rears?

I got about 6-7k.

Have your rear toe alignment checked. Negative toe (toe out) will cause this. I have mine checked annually and I get 20-25K on my rears

I’d definiteky have that looked at further. 5k is really low

I'm at 17k (pilot sport 4s) and all of my tires are wearing evenly. I had Tesla do the alignment about 1 year ago.

Yeah but dreaded shudder is much more apparent on normal ride height

As do I and I havent noticed any uneven wear. I had an alignment done when I bought my turbines.

On P85D rears on standard height air suspension setting was getting about 12k miles on back and around 25k front ..staggered setup

On my staggered autocross wheels sets I usually have my tires flipped on the rims 1/2 way through their life if they aren't directional.
but that wear pictured is most likely because of toe out. I bet you could actually see the alignment issue it just looking at the car without any measurements

That looks normal from what I had as well. About 4-5k mi of wear. On my non-staggered '13 P85, I rotated my tires 4 times a year, and unmounted and remounted them twice a year.

took it in for service, turns out the alignment was waay off. toe was out (negative) .54 degrees right rear and .30 degree left rear. this was corrected to 0.01 deg in (positive) both sides. camber was about -2 degrees on each side.

thanks again for tesla saying 'that's normal' when it clearly was not.

10~15K with standard height under 65mph and fairly aggressive driving. The worse thing to do is to punch it while making a turn but sometimes you just can't not to do it.
