Installing EV charger - NYC - con edison meter question

Hi all,

Trying to explore options on installing a charger in my coop garage. Is there any way for con edison to install a separate electricity meter. The board is claiming that my current electricity meter for my apartment is too far to wire. Just trying to validate that statement and see if there are any other options. I tried looking, but havent really been able to find anything on this.

I’d start with asking an electrician for options and quotes. Unless someone on the HOA board is an electrician?

Most utilities will install a second meter.
