Thanks I did yesterday and i only got a single quote off some insurer I hadn't heard before and they wanted upwards of £1000 too.
That's the same story with me. £2,000+, but DL and Churchill are the only two that are bordering on "ok" - £717 and £795 respectively.

Churchill was the lowest I was quoted then Privilege then Direct Line.However LV seem by far the cheapest now via Compare the market.I phoned and talked to a rep who was VERY helpful - £364

No haggle....Compare the market.....LV comes up as lowest quote....Non import, non thatcham approved alarm, excess compulsory £500 voluntary nil,right hand drive protected no claims,no tracker,legal cover,spouse on insurance if applicable,10,000 mile SDP.If you go to LV direct the quote is MORE and they struggle.The performance and LR AWD have the SAME quote - thats odd though.The lady I spoke to at LV after compare the market search had to google the car and google Tesla and fell in love with car .....

£364.Correct and then i called LV and she eventually found me and confirmed £364.
I could NOT access LV direct from CTM link but today that even worked and i now have an email from LV confirming the quote.Valid till 14.9 only though !

Finally got a decent quote today from LV for £378 with the excesses being a total of £800. Quote reference so ready to go.
Was that through their website or through a comparison site?
I feel like I'm playing Wheel of Fortune each time I press 'get quote'.

Nothing new there really. What you need to be able to do is insure your car without the plate number!

Just got mine through from LV after doing compare the market and contacting them directly. 61yo male, no offences, 9 years +NCB (protected), 250 excess (but 500 compulsory excess), sister as 2nd driver, complimentary car for up to two weeks and legal cover............. £271.95.
