Insurance woes

Ordered a stealth, got a VIN in source and SA confirmed VIN. It's a 6023xx.

My preferred insurance provider lately has been esurance; I wasn't able to add the Model 3 online because the website thinks the VIN is invalid, so I called them up and they couldn't add it either.. The esurance agent put me on hold for a bit, then came back and said they got it figured out. When I received my policy card via email though, it had an invalid vin: 5YJ3E1ABXL1234567.

Anyone else have similar problems? Should I have waited until I have a delivery date scheduled? Is there a particular time when the VIN becomes "legit"?

Vin in source is to early, wait for your vin to actully show up, there is a reason your vin isnt showing yet officially

That's not necessarily your VIN. Lots of things can cause it to change.

I had a problem actually getting my agent to add my new VIN to my policy. She said it was probably too new to be in her system. Instead, she prepared a binder which gave 30 days to issue the revised policy. This was last week right as I was picking up the car. Come to think of it, I probably should give her a call now.

just FWIW, my P3D- vin never changed from what first appeared in the html source. some people's did though.

I acted on it because my SA emailed it to me. Can it still change even after that?

Well I have to call endurance back anyway to update them on the date the policy goes effective when I find out delivery date.
