Got my renewal quote through (Hastings) at £514.

Went onto comparisons and cheapest (by a long way) is Hastings with Telematrics. They want to install a box in my car - no thanks!

So, does anyone have any recommendations? Did a quote with Direct Line and its £422.

Other than the comparisons and Direct Line is there any others worth trying?

Last year was £320.

That Direct Line quote will come down a bit if you have EAP and that was an online quote.

Just talk to an agent on the phone and they can add the discount for EAP.

It isn’t huge but it will get you closer to £400

Hastings and direct line are the best quotes I have had.

LV were my cheapest by quite a long way, plus I had 2 claims and a wife to add so was quite impressed. Try a few different compare sites, you may get different results.

a cheap quote is anything under £500. To get £320 last year was a bargain in my opinion.

£320 is extremely good value - my insurance with DL is the wrong side of £500.
As my wife has not had a UK driving license for very long, I had a "we can't help you with that" message, whenever I tried to add her to any quote - so, my wife can't drive the Tesla.

Just to update. The cheapest comparison quote (by over £200!) was with Hastings but with a ‘box’ fitted. I rang them up to see what it was all about and they said they couldn’t fit them to Teslas as the electrics interfere with the telematics!

Probably a blessing lol.
