Interesting find on my car today

When I purchased my s90D a few weeks ago everything said AP 2.0. No big deal. So today while looking around on Teslafi I find that only 4 90D's have my software version 2017.42-1 94435ee and they are all 2.5. So I think that mine must not be counted for some reason. When I dig further I find [

] so that is my car and update time. So guess I got a little surprise that it has 2.5.

All the way at the bottom of settings on TelsaFi it says which AP version they have determined for your car as well as the list of option codes. Doesn't mean it is correct, but it probably is.

Check your front bumper, 6 sensors = AP 2.0, 8 = 2.5

This is interesting. First I’ve heard about more ultrasonic sensors on front bumper of AP2.5. Where are the two extras? Are they positioned to see curbs better? That’s one of my pet peeves is my AP2.0 MS75D can’t see curbs when parking. They disappear just when getting close.

I believe 2.5 didn't start until summer 2017. They stopped making 90Ds months before that, correct?

No, they make a random inventory 90D now and again. Go figure.
