Anyone that has driven with TACC, AutoSteer or AutoPilot (the big 3 (T3?) for Celtic fans) for any # of miles knows the danger of this.
While the big T3 are useful tools, they can't replicate even a semi-competent driver yet. Ok, maybe better than Massachusetts drivers, but that's about it! Just kidding... maybe depending on how the T3 handles rotary/round-abouts.

I am going to guess that if you purchase this device and get into an accident, and the other party finds out about it, you will immediately lose. Even if you were NOT using this device at the time of the accident, there is no way to prove it. So you will be deemed at fault for bypassing the safety system which in turn will probably jack up your insurance rates.

If you crash and cause a fatality with this thing on a steering wheel while on autopilot, you are looking at a prison time for negligent homicide. At least with a bottle of water wedged in a steering wheel, gross negligence would be hard to prove (unless they access cabin camera footage). But having a device with a sole purpose of defeating the detection system is a slam dunk.
