I have been fairly happy with the sound quality and levels available on my M3P - not bad for a stock system. Once they added a separate subwoofer control it seems I can find a nice sweet spot for different types of music. One thing I noticed recently is that if I rest my arm on the door armrest, there is a significant increase in 'felt' bass response. Resting my other arm on the center console also produces a slight increase. It seems the seat mounting mechanism/padding effectively isolates a lot of the bass vibration. Has anyone else noticed this? In other vehicles I've owned with a subwoofer, you could feel the bass thumping through the seat. Could also have something to do with the sub being in a sealed trunk, so not much air moving in the passenger compartment.
