Interior fabric repair on console

Does anyone have a good source for how to repair the thin fabric on the older center consoles? It's a textured black material, and I have a corner that is now showing thru.
I was thinking a black thick paint might work?

Are you referring to the center console that has storage and cup holders inside? If so, the exterior fabric pieces can be completely removed and replaced. I believe that they're about $75 per side, but check with your local parts department.
