Inventory Cars in Texas?

Hey TMC!

Looking to take the plunge with a Model S while Tesla is really pushing inventory for quarter end. Do they even have inventory cars in Texas? Do you think they'd have the same incentives at the stores here that people are reporting in other parts of the country even if the inventory is somewhere else? Just wondering if it's worth visiting a store to find out.

Tesla can't sell cars in Texas, so while there may be incentives, they won't be found at the Texas Galleries. Usually the folks in Denver know what the nearest cars are.

Actually, while shopping for an inventory car last Nov, the Tesla rep pulled up and sent me all of the cars that matched my criteria that were in Texas galleries or service centers (I lived in San Antonio at the time).

I live in Dallas area. You can go to the store or call them, they can provide you list of inventory vehicle options that suits your requirements. This week when I checked, there are few inventory cars in Dallas, but it does not matter where the vehicle is, the one you like. They will ship to you free (not for CPO). I recently placed an order for an inventory model and car is located in Atlanta. It is definitely best time to buy, as Tesla never before offered such discounts on new vehicles. Good luck

I am in San Antonio, and called Austin trying to get info on Inventory cars. They were only mildly helpful, willing to only go over a couple of options. Then I saw a thread on the Tesla Motors site forum that mentioned how helpful the Tesla Minnesota Eden Prairie store was in finding inventory cars. I called and spoke to Humza ((952) 944-1373) who literally spent an hour with me finding the perfect car for me, going over a ton of possibilities The car I picked was in the bay area, he shipped to Austin and I picked up 4 days ago. Humza passed the order over to the local delivery specialist. Hope that helps.

I have to say, that is pretty bizarre that you had better service dealing with a store over 1,000 miles away as opposed to one in your own state. Baffles me sometimes on the varying degree of stories you hear from across the country with stores and service centers. Even baffles me more when you hear completely different experiences with the exact same locations.
