I thought this might be of interest to some:

I bought my Tesla shares via nabtrade and sadly they don't hold them directly in your name so you don't get to vote or get corporate event notifications, etc. Recently I signed up for stake.com.au and can confirm they do register all whole shares in your own name and so that means you get to participate in any votes and will get investor communications I'm now in the process of transferring my shares over from nabtrade and will update this thread on how that goes.

Did the same thing through DJCarmichael's here in Perth with shares held by their clearing house Pershings (Bank of America).

Had to pay a fee to get them transferred in to my name and now held on Computershare US site. Looks identical to Australian site so make sure you're on the right site when you try to log in

It's a fixed $20 fee or something similar.

I think it looks much better, but obviously comes at a cost, as white is free. I've seen issues with white not matching between certain panels on some cars.
