Except that surely that price rise will be on hold (prices should be reduced) given the rapid revaluation of the Aussie from a low of 0.638 a month ago to 0.77 today.

No dispute with that but just repeating what I was told at Tesla SC today

I have yet to see a price drop in any product ever ever based on value of the dollar. Well, maybe petrol, but even that does not follow in lockstep as it should.

Supposedly another price increase coming in 2 weeks, as it has been in the pipeline for a while so as to not shock the market with one huge price increase that reflects the devaluation of the Oz $ from its previous highs.

At this rate the most enjoyable car I've ever had might leave me with a tidy profit when I sell. Buying another would then kill that of course.
