What taxes is this? Is there any other tax than VAT? I am counting with VAT in my formula. 8% for Switzerland, 19% for Germany.
Is there 10k in custom duties?

If I compare model S (base 90D):
US price: 88000 + destination fee + sales tax
CH price: 92900 + destination fee (8% tax included)
In this case the CH price is cheaper by about 2000!

Netherlands & Belgium 21%
Germany (as far as I know) 22%

So price without VAT would be close to 134K Euro for Signature.... (without L and without winter & Tow package)
So... (af course there will be some shipping costs) 1 Euro is worth about 1 dollar

Still... talking about Taxes: in the Netherlands a Mercedes G500 costs close to 90K without taxes; then they add 21% VAT (so price already close to 109K) and then you pay CO2 taks (BPM)... approx 68K so... total of 176K! From that perspective the model X is a bargain over here! Then... take a look at the AMG models :biggrin:

Correction: A "maxed out" X was 152.450 $ in 11/15. So it's only 3% more in Europe in 3/16 than in US.
I think thats fair. It's just the Euro that sucks!

399k € for a AMG G 65 in Holland? Must be a really popular car there.
So Model X is a bargain.
I will actually save 10k a year with my X compared to my current ICE Audi.
This makes the price more bareable to me.

Base Signature X was $132000 + delivery fee + sales tax when configurator opened in US.
Base Signature X is 133800 EUR + delivery fee + VAT (per country) when configurator opened in EU.
$132000 = 121500 EUR. There is difference of 12300 EUR before tax (!)

Let's look at Model S.
Base S90D is $88000 + delivery fee + sales tax RIGHT NOW in US.
Base S90D is 82350 EUR + deliver fee + VAT RIGHT NOW in EU.
$88000 = 81000 EUR. The difference is 1350 EUR before tax.

I completely understand minor difference (like 1350 EUR is), but not 12300 (!)

The Signature X in the US was a discount of $7500 compared to maxed out X. Which was a suprise as it was a surcharge with model S. Maybe they realized their mistake (?) and for Europe they made it a surcharge again. I will wait until they release prices for Production model X in EU, then we'll be able to compare properly.

Sorry, I don't think it's fair to compare the sig prices 6 month ago with the sigs now.
6 month ago they gave a discount because they knew it will be a difficult start.
If you compare with US pricing 4 month ago its only 3% more expensive now in Eurpoe which is basically the same.

Makes no sense to me at all. Everyone is affected by these delays. I also don't see why they would give discounts when they are trying really hard to maximize profits.

Wow. These prices are way higher than I would have expected. This does not bode well for Model 3. Let's just hope 35K $ base there doesn't translate to 50K Euro in Germany. If that is the case, goodbye great sales figures. Goodbye great BEV "for the masses" (I know, that's relative anyway, but still).

I am really curious to see the Model X sales figures for Germany in the coming months/years. Compared to that, the Model S seems almost like a bargain.

I think @Eracer's comment about difficult start doesn't refer to delays, but to working out production problems on the first 1000-1500 US Signature cars. Having read Mark Z and others' stories of early problems, I think they deserve a discount for taking the risk and in some cases really bearing it.

$35K = £25K here.

Just looked at the cars in my road of the 30 of them, 25 of them are small hatchbacks £15k and under. 2 £22k saloons. 1 £35k saloon, 1 £25k pickup and 1 35k 4x4.

So only 5 out of the 30 would get the 3 on price. Obviously cost of petrol comes into it so maybe the £15k hatchbacks might get one. Still not sure its priced at for the masses, but lots more will buy it.

Funny, confirmed my order 2 days ago according to the contract where it says you can speed things up that way and now I get a mail from my DS stating she can't confirm yet because they only start production for EU in twelve days anyway.?????

Yes, but unlike in the US, you can only order the 90D and P90D. X70D is blocked for ordering till "mid 2016".

The X is about CHF 7300 more than a similar configured S.

Yes... they probably figured out that a fully loaded Model X General Production was very close / if not cheaper (depends on country?) than a Signature...
Now you have 2-3K discount...

Totally different question: I already organized a few road-trips last year, and planning a few this year already... are there Model X sig / FE (future) Owners that would like to brainstorm with me about a 4-5 day trip in September?
I am thinking about NL - D - CH / lie / Aut - I - FR (mon?) - lux - B - NL where there might also be opportunity to join every day / step out every day so everybody can do the same circle but with different Start / end point...
Alternative: a few do the whole trip and others will join for 1 or 2 days .... I think it will be very nice, especially in countries like Italy & France where there are not that many Tesla's at this moment...

Already been there with 10 Tesla's in September (Reception by TOCN AND Pizza and city tour in Fredrikstad were great!) and already in contact with Vigdis to return with a few cars in June (need 1 more and then I'll start organizing that trip). Model X will not be there yet and... I think that a group of Model X's in Italy and France will have more impact than in Norway but... who knows... I'll definitely give it a thought.... Maybe the trip in June will tempt me to come back asap with the model X... And... the chance of gathering the largest possible group incl. Norwegian model X's sounds good too!

something very odd happened today......... until today I had a delivery specialist, I had everything configured and on this coming Monday my two weeks of mandatory waiting period in Europe, before the design is locked in, would be over and the final confirmation of the order would start automatically................

today when I went into the design studio to change from carbon trim to Matt obeeche wood trim as a final adjustment on the kids request.......... I no longer have a DS nor does the system recognize that I already finalized my design on the 1st of March...??!!!!! has this happened to anyone else in Europe?

My Tesla page also doesn't show my DS anymore, but we had contact already and so I have her email adress.
The ordering status did not change in my case. Still says ordered 3/1 and can be changed until 3/14.
